Elizabeth is from Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School. At this small school, she fell in love with the individualized attention that she was able to receive from teacher and that led her to look for small Colleges. She settled on Marian after discovering the San Damiano Scholars program because it encompassed everything she was looking for in a school: small class sizes, faith formation, opportunities to learn and grow with hands on experience. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Pastoral Leadership. She was a Student Ambassador and a Resident Assistant while attending Marian as well.
Prior to working as The San Damiano Recruiter, Elizabeth served as a MissionCorps and AmeriCorps member at Maggie’s Place in Phoenix, Arizona. At Maggie’s Place, she lived with women experiencing homelessness during pregnancy and empowered them to make life changes and welcomed their babies into a safe and loving environment.
Elizabeth encourages students to discern God’s call in their lives and to seek opportunities where they will be challenged to grow as a whole person, "The San Damiano Scholars Program formation helped me to continue to strive for the best version of myself. It gave me to tools necessary to grow in my relationship with God, to develop an authentic community, to be pushed to understand what the Church teaches and then to be sent into the world to spread the message of faith."
