At Marian University, the Department of History and Social Sciences includes an impressive group of faculty dedicated to teaching, learning, and student achievement in research.

We are an interdisciplinary department that educates students in specific majors—history, political science, and sociology—and encourages them to complete double-majors, academic minors, and/or concentrations in other programs to make their career goals a reality.

We educate students who want to become program managers, nonprofit executives, teachers, and lawyers. After graduation, they enter the workforce and continue their studies in prestigious master's and doctoral programs at colleges and universities across the nation.
