About Campus Ministry

“Who am I? What are my most deeply felt values? Do I have a mission or purpose in life? Why am I in college? What kind of person do I want to become?  What sort of world do I want to create?” Led by a passionate staff and student leaders, Campus Ministry offers the Mass, service opportunities, prayer services, retreats, and leadership experiences that will help students find faith-filled answers in a supportive community.

I'm Not Catholic

We are excited that you are here! Our programs are open to people of all faith traditions. While all of our programs fulfill the Catholic Franciscan mission of the university, our programs reflect on what we have in common and promote fellowship among all students. Campus Ministry celebrates all of what is true and holy in other traditions of Christianity and other non-Christian religions.

About Catholicism

At Marian University we are proud of our Catholic faith. The "[Catholic] Church believes that Christ, who died and was raised for the sake of all, can show humanity the way and strengthen humanity through the Spirit." Campus Ministry believes that the richness of the Catholic faith, its traditions of prayer, service, and intellectual curiosity, are an wonderful gift, and because of this we share it, in a spirit of hospitality and dialogue, with all Marian University students.

Campus Ministry Leadership

College is the time to experience new things and explore new ideas and we want to help you discover the love of God in new ways. Many students, staff, and faculty are involved in Campus Ministry—students share in the leadership of every individual program we run and many faculty help students in their faith journeys in a variety of roles. And, our passionate and devoted Campus Ministry staff are always developing new ways to reach and impact our students.

Franciscan Heritage

Marian University's identity as a Catholic and Franciscan institution is grounded in Jesus Christ. Our faith is ever present and visible in the fabric of the educational philosophy and operation of the university. It guides the way faculty, administration, staff, and students relate to one another and how visitors are welcomed to campus. Learn More >>
