Marian University respects the privacy of all online visitors. This privacy policy establishes how the Marian University web site collects and uses information and how that information is protected, consistent with applicable law and the following principles:

  1. Your information is secure.
  2. Information is not shared or redistributed.
  3. Personal information is voluntary.

For each visitor to the Marian University web site, our web server collects information about IP addresses and domain names to control server problems and administer our site. This information also allows us to statistically analyze site usage and improve our content and layout.

For visitors who send us e-mail, we collect the e-mail addresses to allow us to contact you or respond to your inquiry. This information is used internally by the university and is never given, sold, rented, or otherwise distributed to any third party.

Information submitted voluntarily through feedback forms, applications for admission, or other means is used only for the purpose indicated. In addition, responses to surveys or other information gathering is used only in an aggregate format—no individual information is disseminated.

Currently our site accommodates online giving via a secure server using encryption. All contact information is kept strictly confidential and financial information that is provided is used only to complete the gift transaction.
